EDUCATION

The Christian faith is a life-long journey of growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ. One component of the growth in our faith comes from on-going education. We study God’s Word to hear what God has to say to us. We discuss God’s Word with others to gain the perspective and insights of others.

SUNDAY SCHOOL:

We offer Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 9:15 for children 3 years old through fifth grade. We are presently using a curriculum entitled “Akaloo”, which comes from the Greek word translated “follow me”.

Jr. High Youth Forum also meets at 9:15 in the Youth Room.

CONFIRMATION:

Confirmation is a deep-seated tradition within the Lutheran church. Confirmation instruction focuses on the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. At St. Stephen, confirmation is for students in grades 6-8. Class meets on Wednesdays, September through May. We begin with a meal at 5:30. At 6:00, one of the pastors teaches a lesson, and then the students break up into huddles to discuss the lesson. On alternating months, the huddles do either a fellowship or servant event on the second Wednesday of the month.

ADULT OPPORTUNITIES:

ADULT FORUM:

On Sunday mornings, we have various studies at 10:30 in the Fellowship Hall.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY:

Every Friday at 7:00 a.m., Pastor Dave leads a group at Bagels and Brew.

MONDAY MORNING MINISTRY: (MMM)

On Monday mornings at 9:00, a lay-lead group meets in the St. Stephen library for a book discussion.
